Thanks for the replies. The reason we picked those two are because of the following:

1. We have two dogs, and would like more, so city/row houses aren't enough outdoor space.
2. Our budget is <$80k, ideally, and we could afford a pretty good amount of house for that in those two places.
3. It's approximately even for our commutes (compared to favoring me by having her drive in 279 during rush hour).

We're definitely open to ideas elsewhere, but most of the in-betweens that didn't involve crazy traffic were out of our price range (Gibsonia, Allison Park) or too small yard-wise (Lawrenceville).
