Default moving to pittsburgh and need insider advice!!

Thanks for reading

My family is being relocated, for a job of course, near pittsburgh. My husband will be working in "Madison" that is all I know. I do not even know what county it is in. Im looking for a decent size house under 180000 with low taxes, lets face it we are moving from Georgia where cost of living is cheeper. Great schools and preschools a must, parks near by, very family friendly. Any advice would be great. Im excited to begin this new adventure.

I am in SW Pennsylvania just south of Pittsbugh. Cost of living is cheaper than other places. I would think th prices wouldn't be much different than Georgia. You'll be fine.

I would reccomend the Irwin / North Huntingdon Township area. It is only ~20 min drive to Waltz Mill and is a nice area.

North Huntingdon township has lower taxes than Pittsburgh Proper because it is in Westmoreland county. There are plenty of nice houses there for ~180K and Norwin School district is pretty solid.

You would be around 30-45 min from downtown Pittsburgh, and would be close to shopping, food, parks, ect.
