Hi,

Carriage Park Apartments,Green Tree,PA

After doing some research and by comments on my previous post i have decided to check out this place when i visit next month for renting.

They are having some specials at this rental location now. Also seems closer to downtown where i would be working (commute would be hassle as pointed in my other post),has 1% wage tax, reasonable rent and shopping and good daycares nearby.

There are complaints listed

1) Gas bills are high

2) rodents,bugs and roaches

3) maintenance not so great

etc. (from google reviews and apartmentratings.com)

Anyone with some personal experience or if you have heard about this place in someway please advice.

And also which part of Green Tree falls under city limits and has higher wage tax ? Crane Village which is i assume down the road seems to be within city limits and hence a higher wage tax.

Back in the era of bad hair and disco, the 80's, I lived in Crane Village. I believe that CV, Carrriage Park, and Hyland Hills are owned by the same people. Back then it was mainly all singles, great time had by all.

I always thought Carriage Park was the nicest of the 3, and out of the Pgh's 3% wage tax.

Drove by there recently, seemed to be in good condition. Best advice would be to walk around the complex and talk to a few residents.
