Default Report from Tampa and the Super Bowl !

Just arrived in Tampa for the Super Bowl. Unlike past Super Bowls this one is no doubt feeling the effect of a bad economy. Some observations :
*Average sized crowd at the Tampa Airport * Numerous hotels not filled close to the game venue * Tampa's best resturants have openings for reservations * Game ticket prices continue to fall. *Several person's selling tickets in the hotel lobby for $ 600 per. *NFL face value alone was $ 800.
* Private parties are smaller and less in number than previous years *Pay to go Parties are having smaller sales and interest *Cab driver claims he is doing less work now then a typical non event week. *Not a lot of fans streetside
Not many cardinal fans to be found thus far.
It will be interesting to see the effect on game day. I'm sure the television ratings will be high though as the Steelers ae a huge draw for television. Stay warm Pittsburgh!

Thank you for the report. It sure isn't what I'd expect. People have been saying it would look like another home game like Detroit. Are you seeing many Steelers fans?

Thus far I haven't seen huge amount of Steeler fans. In honesty I haven't seen a whole lot of people in general. I'm thinking that tonight and saturday more fans will pour into Tampa. Unlike past Super Bowls people are not taking the whole week off or even part of the week.
I'm told that there will be far fewer Cardinal fans than Steelers faithful. Overall though less fans prior to the game then in prior years.
