Default Which streets have the best view of downtown & river?

Please be specific.

I liked the views from Brunot St but there were many places I didn't go.

PJ McArdle Rd, Arlington Ave and Grandview Ave all on Mt. Washington. Pretty much any street on the South Side Slopes. The West End Bridge. Morrison St. and Perrysville Ave on the North Side. Gehring St. in SpringHill. Many streets in Troy Hill. Observatory Hill. I could go on and on, but there's just so many vantage points to view Downtown from it's ridiculous.

I have always loved the view going across the Veterans Bridge from 28 to the city. I think it is Pittsburgh's best angle, though it does leave a lot out and you can't stop and enjoy the view.

The West End has great views, there is an overlook there and many homes in the area with great views.

You pay for the view - Grandview Avenue. Whether it's nice or not depends on what you mean by nice. Please be specific.

Default Mt Washington

We also have lovely views along Bailey Avenue on Mt Washington, and it is less expensive than Grandview Ave.

Decide for yourself, here's a map I made that attempts to point out every place in Pittsburgh where you can see the city skyline from.
