Default Neighborhood recommendation within Fox Chapel

Our young family is planning to move to Fox Chapel (borough of) this summer and need recommendations on the best areas within Fox Chapel to look for a home. We want a neighborhood with lots of other young children and ideally the kind of area where the kids play outside and you see people out for walks, bike rides, etc. Can we find that in Fox Chapel (I noticed there were no sidewalks ?????

Default Fox Chapel has a borough?

My impression of Fox Chapel is mansions on acreage. Aspinwall is in the Fox Chapel school district and has the characteristics you describe. Steve.

Sidewalks aren't all that common in Pittsburgh.... don't let that be a turn off.

Streets without a lot of traffic, except those who live there, commonly don't have sidewalks. When there is one there might be a law that you're responsible to keep it safe and clear of ice and snow or get fined.

You might see what you're looking for at a park. I don't drive through there much anymore. When I used to those things weren't what you'd see.

Before I can recommend a specific neighborhood within Fox Chapel Borough I need to know your budget. Fox Chapel also doesn't have many "subdivisions" and in places can be pretty hilly. Do you want an older house or a newer house? Do you want a huge house or are you willing to accept a smaller older house. Are your kids going to public school or private school. If they are going to public school one elementary school has the reputation of being the best within the district and one has the reputation of being the worst within the district. For some people this matters. For others it doesn't. If money is no object, try North or South Drive, which has beautiful houses and flat lots. However, you probably need at least a million to buy there. I think there is one house for sale at 1.6.

If you are spending less than 500,000 I would suggest that you look in O'Hara as well.
