Black Fire Chief too And Obama did carry Allegheny County, by a wide margin.

I believe the Superintendent of schools prior to the current one was black. And Mr. Obama would never made the "white" house if not for racist whites like me voting for him.

I think what you need to do is get Al Sharpton here to set this city straight.

Flying while black is why I left and I have no love loss for your city. And, if I get the crap of you all are not racist why is it you cannot get a black mayor, black supertinendent of schools or black fire chief in Pittsburgh. Yet towns like Youngstown, Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus, and DC can. And, get this Youngstown had a Puerto Rican Fire Chief for almost two decades and now they have a black one. And, don't give me that it isn't racist because I know more college educated blacks leaving because you all are so racist if, someone were to tell you you would start crying because your feelings were hurt when the truth does just that it hurts. You all can't even put positive images in the stupid library and one of my grad student worker was surprise when she heard my conversation and I made a funny comment of something not being in Spanish. When I spoke a different language she said that is not Spanish that is Italian. And, the thing is a third person of my conversation knew just that but, the fourth person the intruder did not. I guess having a master's degree meant that I didn't know the difference between languages of the Romance linguistics area. So, I am out forever.

Ebony Magazine
If Pittsburgh is so great why is it that an author like Omar Tyree who some African-Americans may or may not like wrote in the opinion page of Ebony Magazine last year that the University and the city had overt and covert racism. Michelle Obama was on the front cover. I guess you all don't know jack. And, you know what I did try finding friends and joined organizations like Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project and Pittsburgh Singles Volunteer Network and I can see now why some of the chair people of those organizations left and returned to their respective cities. You all need diversity training at your schools which is why so many minorities leave. It is not always about racism but, being paid so little and still get so little respect. If, I come back to this stupid forum then I will but, you all are awful. And, I would get friends like myself except they wouldn't think I was good enough to know. They are friends with you one minute and will leave unless they need something. That is the western PA way. And, it is not just Pittsburgh others from my home county are the same way. Columbus is a whole lot better and so is Cleveland. The houses around the Cleveland Clinic are actually owned by African-Americans and they are not in sports or entertainment.

The question becomes then what has happened in Cleveland and Columbus that has failed to happen
in Pittsburgh?...are they a different type of people in Cleveland and Columbus?...I also think I see a
similar pattern in Cinci that is seen in Pittsburgh...
Or what is precieved to have failed to happen in Western Pa. compared to these other areas? or what
have people let happen in Western Pa. that didn't happen in Cleveland or Columbus?
I have heard it said from outsiders that people in Pittsburgh are complacent with things...
I have to agree that Pittsburgh is slow and not as progressive as other cities..so what can be done to
make Pittsburgh catch up??

If the bus driver on the 11D did make a negative statement in the presence of an American-African
or who he presumed to be an American-African...(the person could have been from Ghana in which
a statement made against an American-African would have no meaning)...then he was trying to push a
button..I would just smile, memorize the bus number, the route, time of day and call the comment
number on the back of the bus schedule...I have reported rude bus drivers in the past and it has
got back to me that my complaint was heard...
...see people do things they feel they can get away with...and people let people get away with things

If this happened to me, I would have reported it right away, and the driver most certainly would have lost his/her job upon review of the incident and found guilty.
This poster causes his own problems, this poster is today's racism.

Some Americans call other Americans racist..the other Americans get defensive and/or angry and call
them racist back...American traditional ethnic back and forth race games...The snake is chasing its tail
again...
Same dynamic goes on in societies with long traditions of ethnic conflict where groups have been
historically @ odds with each other in terms of power domination..ex: northern ireland...
Solution: who cares what people think??..who cares about 11D bus drivers?...who cares about Al Sharpton...who cares about what American "black" or American "white" people think??...who cares
if Pittsburgh is precieved as "racist"...
Americans need to grow up and get over it already...or at least some...
