If ANYONE can help, we are searching for our small, black/brown with gold patches, female, older cat. Disappeared about 2/10 around the Markham school area of Mt. Lebanon. She's only 6 lbs. and may growl if approached. She has a very small scar on her nose. If anyone has any leads, please call 412-583-8222. Thank you.

Oh -- poor sweetie! Here's what I know about cats (I have nine). If she wandered out of her house, she's very probably still in the area of the house -- they tend to NOT travel far. She is very scared though, and is very probably hiding. Your best bet is to take her most favorite food, or better yet grab a can of the smelliest fishiest cat food you can find. Take a plate of it, and go out side at night, when it's quiet and there is little traffic. Gently call out her name and WAIT. The smell may attract her and by now she's good and hungry.

If you can, make flyers with her picture, and post them around. Knock on your neighbors doors and ASK. It never hurts.

Check with your local animal control, and shelters. She may have been turned in. If they can catch her -- I know those tortie temperments!

Best of luck! I hope you get her back!

I travel through Mt Lebanon ever day on my way to work.

Where is that school, is it near Cedar Blvd? That's the way I go to work. If I see anything I will call immediately.

All I can suggest is to notify the local shelter and local police. The police will not activly search for her, but if they see her they will notify animal control or the shelter.

Default Thanks

Thank you to all that offered suggestions. We have done all that you have mentioned.

To the person wandering where Markam is located: it is on Beadling which connects Cedar and Washington Road.

Still hoping for a favorable outcome.
