Mt. Washington is also a nice neighborhood. It is adjacent to downtown. There are several nice streets with affordable housing, plus also expensive housing. An up and coming part of Mt Washington is the east side of it - Virginia, Shiloh, Bailey, Boggs. People are buying and renovating several properties.

Eh, the stretch of Mount Washington along and adjacent to Grandview Avenue is nice. The back side of Mt. Washington is fairly grimey and has some crime issues. Not awful crime issues, but enough that it should be factored into the costs versus the benefits of living there.

There are several nice streets in Mt Washington - it is quite a large area. And, as I said, there is quite a bit of positive development happening at the "front" part of the east end (Bailey).

Along the western part of Mt Washington, you can go back several streets and still be in a good part of town. It is down the hill on the east end that you run into less desirable areas (e.g., knoxville).
