Racist Pittsburgh (Harrisburg, Washington, Uniontown: rent, credit, buying a house)

This is the most racist town I have ever lived in. I have white people who were my neighbors who were upset that I drove a non-American car, it was a honda civic. And, they had to walk and take the bus. I did the exact same thing but, I also at times worked two jobs. But, your simple butts are pathetic. I have two college degrees and couldn't even get a temp job and I was once able to get one in less than a week. But, of course we all think Pittsburgh is so great well I think it is a racist town and not a city. It has people who hardly leave their own neighborhoods and have white neighborhoods who will run you out of the area if your skin in not pale in color like theirs. I had a landlord who was so racist he tried made me sick by keeping the heat from coming on. Too bad the health inspector didn't catch his worthless ass. Then he wouldn't have gouged me on rent while letting no count, no job having racists steal or use my stuff. Yeah I'm black and you know what if, you want to call me uppity ass n***er then go right ahead because you all will never reclaim your greatness. Hell you can't even say simple Spanish last names like Reyes or Sepulveda (it is also a name of a main street in Los Angeles but, I was once a PA resident and I knew how to pronounce these names and I wasn't from a big city like Philly or Harrisburg either. Yet you love your Steelers when they are playing for you but, not when they are regular black men living in your affluent neighborhoods. That is why Mel Blount who may or may not have some history of sexual harrassment has problems with his white neighbors in Washington County. And, despite the fact that Murtha had to retrack his remarks about W. PA being racist the truth of the matter it is.

I can go to other cities less than three hours away and get better treatment than I can in Pittsburgh. And, this whole liveable this is only if, you are white because if, you are black and a Pitt graduate apply someplace esle and get the hell out. Pitt graduates are a dime a dozen in that town and everyone thinks it is a great school. It is a public university with private school idealogies. You can do better and even in a Cleveland suburb you can get a good education for your child without going broke buying a house in that same neighborhood. One neighborhood had a brick house going for $30000 and even with $10000 in rehab it is still a bargain compared to Allison Park and Sewickley. And, yes the school is ranked so you can even get a good education at a school that is so good that even though African-Americans make up 60% of the student population it is still in the top 300 out of 1300. QVHS and Hampton don't even come close.

And, yes I left Pittsburgh because I got tried of you all trying to use the same solutions to fix new problems and even though I don't have a degree in certain fields I sure as hell can count fix some of them even if those of you with degrees in that field can't. And, I can count on one hand how many people of color are in positions of power in Pittsburgh than there are in other cities. But, since your attitudes about blacks won't change then neither will my opinions about whites from that area because you all can't even stand living in DC or Atlanta where there are plenty of college educated blacks simply because they are making more money than you. I guess if, they were athletes you wouldn't have a problem but, since we have small brains and are good at sports and sex then we cannot lead which why Lynn Swann couldn't get elected in your state even if, he tried. And, here's a thought why are so many Steelers having problems with their business partners whenever they invest in business ventures in Pittsburgh because their white partners are greedy and think the Steeler is stupid. I guess if you all had heard of Paul Robeson in school then you would know something about educated atheletes. Oh well if, the powers that be wouldn't use nepotism to but, their dumb ass kids in positions of power then maybe the real smart people could make a change in your city. But, since you are segregated and oppressive that is what our kids think of themselves with racists like you teaching in our schools. And, by the way putting 6th-8th graders in a school with 9th-12th graders in not only stupid it is racist as well. if, you needed to streamline you should have thought of something esle than trying to sexualize our children into becoming young mothers. But, you wouldn't allow an educated black man with teaching creditentials to do it in a more realistic way without making certain schools into megaschools but, you decide to put an MBA without any education experience in charge and pay him more money simply for his lineage and his color. Man, I am glad I left. Because all I can say is sayonora or so long in English suckers.

You know what most white people think when they see blacks move into all-white neighborhoods that it'll be the end of there way of life unfortunately not so. I live in an affluent neighborhood in southern New Jersey-predominately white and have lived here for over 40 years and have black neighbors moving in.
My point is I fly a Confederate flag and flew this flag for over 20 years and most of the critics of this flag happen to be my white neighbors. I even asked the Black fellow who happens to live across the street from me if this flag offended him or his family and his reply was NO. I explained that my mothers family happens to be southern and we honor our war dead etc by flying the flag.
So he stopped by one day and I asked how the other neighbors treated him, if they speak, wave etc and he stated that my family was the only family that spoke to him that he really thinks the others are prejudiced toward him!
The bottom line here is that don't be fast to judge white people and classify them as all racists! If you see a Confederate flag-doesn't always mean that there's a Klansman flying it! On the other hand if you see the Confederate flag and a man wearing a white robe and hood now you can be the judge!!!
As for Pittsburgh being racist I can't be a judge to that since I've never lived there or visited but what makes most white people see blacks as you described just take a look at any American city and you wonder why? Why do black people living in pre dominately black neighborhoods have bars and barbed wire fence around their homes? I'm sure not to keep the whites out or the police!

You think the fact that you got hell for driving a non-American car in the RUST BELT is a racist thing? Perhaps you should research that one a bit. They probably have a legitimate reason to be irate at people that drive foreign cars.

Honestly, I do think W. PA is kinda racist. Not really the city, but the outlying areas. The people I work with in Uniontown have said some things in front of me that were rather embarrassing to listen to. They fear the potential of Hispanics moving to their area, they think all of the black kids in town are up to no good. I'm talking just casual conversation in the break room. It is rather shocking. I've said things to them about it, but they don't seem to understand why I'd be upset by it at all. Like everyone they know agrees or something. I really don't think they are bad people, it's just that the media and geography of their locale makes them a tad xenophobic.
