Awfully good they are, but when I'm that close to Burt's Wooden Nickle I get them there . Hit Handel's/Brewster's for ice cream on the way out.

Awww.... BURT'S! My late mother in law LOVED going there for "a clean bite".... as she called it. Lord, I miss that woman. I am truly blessed -- once with a great husband, and twice with his wonderful parents.

Brewster's is pretty good. We had ice cream there the last time we were in BF.

Handel's is the best! Besides it's from Y-town, so i'm biased. They have won best ice cream in the U.S. Handel's Homemade Ice Cream &*Yogurt:*Home

Thank you SO much, that's awesome! We love ice cream, and while I have to admit Brewster's is tasty stuff, it's just a chain and when I go on a road trip to someplace new I always wanna try the "real" regional stuff. This will definitely be a stop.

Does anyone remember a custard stand down there years ago? I was too young to remember exactly where it was but think it was near Beaver or Geneva College because we'd always stop whenever we got near it. I know it wasn't very close to Rochester. Adults made a fuss about it so it must have been one of those one-of-a-kind places everyone went to.

HANKS!!!!

In the front is was a custard stand -- in tha back they served burritos. Their hottest sauce was "El Scorcho".

I never remember getting ice cream there -- but I remember the burritos....
