It could have also been Young's Frozen Custard. They are still on route 68 in New Sewickley Township between Rochester, and Zelienople. It's out in the middle of nowhere.

Yes, in New Brighton at the south end. It was the junction of Rt. 18 and some other road, I can't remember the name right now. When I was a kid, there was a swimming pool there. Now, I believe the YMCA is located in that area.

The junction pool was the nickname for the New Brighton swimming pool which was HUGE! One of the largest in the country.
You folks who want to try some of the local fare; head down to the Maple in Ambridge and have a "hot beef" sandwich. Not as good as the K&N was in the heyday but it'll do. I have also heard reports that the famous Oram's doughnuts aren't as good as they were years ago.....nothing is unless it is Handl's ice cream.
