Question POLL: Should a New Sub-Forum Be Created Specifically for the Pittsburgh Suburbs

As per the request of a few in the other thread I have devised this poll for purposes of gauging interest in the division of the Pittsburgh sub-forum into separate sub-forums (sub-sub-forums?) for the city and the suburbs. What say you?

I cast the inaugural vote for "NO." It is my firm belief that people in the suburbs need to stop with their self-righteous attitudes of "I'm sorry to hear that you're still stuck living in the city," and the people in the city need to stop with their self-congratulatory attitudes towards suburbanites of "Enjoy your boring cul-de-sacs, SUVs, and Applebee's." Different strokes for different folks, right? Neither the city nor the suburbs can function independent of one another---too much intellectual capital has shifted out to the suburbs, and the city remains the core of nightlife, culture, and the arts (as well as home to many major employment centers). I don't believe division is the answer for a city this small.

You live in Scranton - THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STATE! What do you know about living in this dump? I am really enjoying all the visitors in this forum that are Pittsburgh cheerleaders. They don't even live here.

Although the "dump" statement by the other poster was unnecessary, I do agree with their other statement, you live on the other side of the commonwealth, why don't you leave those of us who live here to take care of our own forum? We can do it, and without the superiority complex you get from being an "internet celebrity".

And what's this about moving here? One minute you have this great job with the government and are moving to Virginia and now here? God help us.

Definitely - No to separate forums. Some people need to be nicer. Others need thicker skins. People who live in the suburbs come into the city to do things (at least occasionally) and city dwellers go to the suburbs to do things (at least occasionally) and newcomers to the region benefit from a single forum on the greater Pittsburgh area.

There already are 2 stickies and our policy is max 2 stickies/forum. I'm fairly sure this topic will stay on the first page though.
