The NDA was lifted today, and the reviews for The Last of Us, which is a video game set in post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh, have been flooding the internet. The developer, Naughty Dog, has a great reputation, but the reviews exceed expectations; it is being heralded as a masterpiece of gaming perfection.

I think just part of the game is set in Pittsburgh, but its still great to see Pittsburgh as a backdrop for a high profile video game.

So pittsburgh is featured in 2 video games recently & gets to be a zombie infested post apocalyptic place in one (this one) and a slave colony post apocalyptic place in the other (fallout: the pitt).

I thought this thread was about a New York Times article praising Beltzhoover as the next "in" neighborhood.

The game sounds sort of violent. I'll wait until somebody makes a Lego version for the Wii.

I'm not a console gamer so I'll probably never play this but it's cool that they used Pittsburgh as a backdrop. I tried to play the "Fallout 3: The Pitt" module but found the game play pretty boring after the glory that was the main campaign of Fallout 3.
