Just saw one today on the bottom floor of the Science Center, right next to the Cafe. Happy hunting!

Thanks for the tip! I'll add it to the list. What did it look like?

There's a stegosaurus in front of the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children, 201 N. Bellefield in Oakland. I just walked by there and you can see a pretty good view of it on Google Maps street view. it is in the front, facing Bayard St.

AWESOME! That's for the google maps tip, that's Seymore Sparklesaurus and I'm so excited because that's one I really wanted to see! I'm lovin all this help from fellow Pittsburghers. My list is now up to 21 confirmed sightings and still 4 good leads left to check out. That's 1/4 of the way there. I'm still waiting for someone to explain how to upload my pics to this forum so I can share with all of you. Thanks again everyone.

Use a free photo hosting site like photobucket and just link the pics here.

Hey, you might want to track down all the UFOs in the area. This one is located, naturally, in Mars.

Here's how I post a pic. Go to this website.

TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

Upload the photo, then click copy. Then paste it down on the forum. Works for me.

Ummmm, that's a project for another summer entirely. LOL I'll stick to dinosaurs, at least they're not ALL hidden in Area 51.

How delightful! An online urban scavenger hunt! It's neat to see what different cities around the nation have in terms of animal statues. I know Cincinnati had quite a few pigs when I visited, and Scranton was home to a lot of jack-asses (in more ways than one as I look in the mirror!) Unfortunately in the case of the Electric City one jack-ass (or I suppose multiple ones given their heavy weight) stole one of the jack-asses from the front of a downtown law firm last year and trashed him! I might start a quest of my own to hunt down as many of the jack-asses in our area as I possibly can before moving out of PA and then posting my results! Thanks for the inspiration!!!

P.S. When I first saw this thread I thought it was someone griping about elderly people!

Red triceratops with double helices. It's set in landscape stones with plants around -- very cute!
