Quote from MissShona
"I've also traveled internationally a bit. My biggest surprise is when I went to Israel, my waitress said she came to the US on her tiyul gadol ("big vacation" literally translated...usually describes the trip young people in Israel make after they leave the army) and she stayed in Pittsburgh. She raved about it (although she admitted she didn't understand why people went so crazy over the Steelers) and compared it to cities in Europe as far as things to do. She also spent time in Phoenix and some place in California and said she still liked Pittsburgh the best."

I'm second generation off the boat from Italy. My relatives, who live in Rome, come over once every other year or so to visit. And when they do, what's the first thing they want to do, go to Pittsburgh!!! And they don't want to leave the city(lol). Literally, we have to drag them out of the city. If that doesn't make a grand statement about Pittsburgh, I don't know what would.

Drivers in Pittsburgh are very nice, they might not always signal, but they'll let you merge and generally don't get fussy about small things.

Compared to Driving in Detroit(I have family there I visit often), it's a whole different world. Detroit drivers are very aggressive.

It would be great if someone could compile a list of all these places and activities mentioned so I can make a summer checklist!
