The Beaver Valley Mall is on Rt. 60. It's a small mall, but it has your basics. Some people around there go to Robinson Twp. Mall. I don't know where the shopping is in Butler Co.

Peters or Cranberry while working in Clinton?? Sorry, I think that's a hike!
The taxes in Moon and Robinson really aren't that high compared to the rest of Allegheny County. You can get away with about $3k or $4k on a $200-300k home, it seems...which to me, is about what you'd pay for the same house in Peters or Cranberry.
For example: for some reason, the link won't work... so if you go to HowardHanna.com, the MLS # is 759788
If you must escape Allegheny County, I would second Katiana and go up 60 into Beaver County. Beaver Valley Mall isn't Robinson, but you're right, it has enough to get by on. If more rural is your scene, there are plenty of places in rural NE Washington County that could work.
OP - Check zips 15205 (Robinson) and 15108 (Moon)

Many upper-middle-class families have moved/are moving from Upper St. Clair and Mt. Lebanon across the county line into Peter's Township to save on property taxes.

Thanks for all the responses. I looked on my map and Peter Townships is really far away. Where is Cranberry? I see a Cranberry Mall and a Cranberry Commons, but no town. =( I'm not worried about the schools. Don't care about taxes, they'll get you one way or another. Don't care if it's rural or not as long as I can get to shopping (grocery) fairly quickly.
I saw some houses I liked in Edgeworth, Sewickley and Leetsdale, but I can't seem to find any easy way of getting there. What is Rosslyn Farms like? That has such a nice name to it.

If you think Peter's Township is too far, stop looking for Cranberry. It's the same distance in the other direction.
Sewickley would be convenient to Clinton. Mapquest shows it as an 18 minute drive. (In Pittsburgh, you can get places faster on back roads.) I was initially going to recommend Sewickley, but I thought you might want to take advantage of your company being near the Allegheny border to save taxes.
Rosslyn Farms is a nice area if you're not worried about schools. The other areas already mentioned are okay too.
If you are interested in a private golf course community, Nevillewood is out that way.

The Sewickley area is basically across the Ohio River from Moon, so it probably wouldn't be a bad commute. A half-hour or so maybe? I'm guessing that just because you'd have to take University Blvd., I believe, which has lights. But that is a great area, great school district, cute business district and easy access to downtown Pittsburgh as well.
I like Rosslyn Farms a lot. It's very quaint. It's a small community and, from what I remember from someone I used to work with that lived there, a close-knit one too. There's some really cute mid-century modern houses mixed with cottagey bungalows from what I've seen there. And it's very easy access to the Parkway.

Clinton itself is actually in Beaver County, although the town feeds into West Allegheny School District (Allegheny County). I'd check into Moon Township-15108, Robinson-15949, Imperial-15126, or Oakdale-15071. These areas all have easy access to the parkway and shopping, etc. Sewickley-15143 & 15189 wouldn't be a bad commute either. Rosslyn Farms has a Carnegie zip code-15106-and as Tinare said, it is nice and quaint. Nevillewood is very nice, albiet a bit more spendy. I believe there are more than one Nevillewood communities down towards Presto.

I agree. Peters Township is, IMO, way over priced because of all the upper class people living there and it's proximity to Upper St. Clair, a very well off area. It also has an upper class feel except for a few areas. Cranberry is sort of the same but newer. If that is your cup of tea, go for it but why live there when there are so many closer areas that are just as nice or better?
Robinson Township zip code is 15136. I'm not sure about the other zip codes, I've never encountered them while I've been here. Part of living in Robinson is putting up with your main post office being in McKees Rocks which is where the zip code comes from. We do have a smaller post office right here off 60, but the county refuses (so far) to give us our own zip code.
I also agree that Beaver county is a good option. It is known as more of a middle/lower class area, but I love the mall there and my neighbor, who grew up there, goes back frequently for doctors, etc. She loved living there.

Okay. I did not know that Cranberry was so far away. It is just a name that many people keep mentioning that I have talked to. At this time we are looking to stay closer to the job and maybe venture out a few years from now.
SueJ999 - Thank yo SO MUCH for the zip codes! That makes my search much easier!
Highway29South - I will keep what you say in mind. Thank you for your help.
Thank you everyone!
We get to meet with the Realtor next week! Yikes!
