Default Rentals in grove city

Whats up with the rentals in Grove City? Nothing is renting!!!!!
in 2007/8 things were renting. Since October they are flat! I've been asking 600 for a 2br with all new kitchens and baths and I cannot get them rented. I also have a rental in New Castle too and it's been vacant for 7 months! I checked the rents and I seem to be in the range at 495.00 mo.
If I get someone, they have a record!

Are there any other landlords having this trouble?

With the economy the way it is, landlords will have a difficult time. Since many people are becoming underemployed due to the loss of better paying jobs, they have limited income because they are working for minimum wage now. They can't afford the rent they paid previously and are moving in with relatives instead of renting. Rental prices will have to become more affordable for them to rent. If you keep your rent too high, you'll likely attract people with criminal records because their cash flow isn't being hindered by the economy. People with stable jobs during this economy are more likely to be property owners, not renters.

How much of the rental market is attributable to college students? Grove City College is more exposed to the ups and downs of market cycles because they do not permit their students to use federal aid. That means if private credit dries up, prospective students will have a harder time lining up financing to attend. So I wonder if that has anything to do with the downturn of your town's rental market, if indeed your situation is common throughout the town.
