Just when one would think that some sense or normal behavior might be found in city hall and the gear up for the primary would be underway, well it appears that Pittsburgh will have no,none, not a single debate between the acting mayor and those running for mayor.

Three scheduled debates have now gone to the way side. The first being cancelled due to the tragic shootings of the three city police officers. the second debate was trashed by KDKA TV 2 on fear that such a production was too close to the tragic shooting last week. And the third debate was cancelled by Luke himself when he looked ahead in time and decided he had no time for debate. Is this the only sizable city in the nation where this level of stupidity can and does happen on a regular basis ?

Are we as a city population this 'SAD' to allow this type behavior and continuing lack luster performance from city hall to continue year after year?
Perhaps we as a city enjoy the constant negative news the current mayor brings to the table. Maybe it's a case of one looser longing for another looser.
Don't loosers find company in one another? I can only say thank you private sector for believing in Pittsburgh. Public leadership from city hall is non existant and it's only getting worse. Good luck in your future !

I forgot to mention the great job the many Not for Profits do in and around Pittsburgh. They do help to make up much of the waste and counter the negative aspects provided by local government.

To clarify, only one of the debates has been cancelled, the KDKA one. From the PG article:
"The debate last Monday to be hosted by WPXI-TV was rescheduled for May 4. The next -- and now first -- debate is scheduled for Monday on WTAE-TV." Mayoral candidates hurl accusations

I do agree that the candidates should find time to reschedule the 3rd debate, though.
