Cool Pittsburgh Public Allies Program/ AmeriCorps

Is anyone familiar with the Public Allies program in Pittsburgh, or any local AmeriCorp programs?

My wife and I are planning on joining them when/if we move to Pittsburgh.

We know the jist of what they do, but I'm curious if anyone has any experience of involvement with them.

I am only familiar with how the AmeriCorp works in NYC.

Perhaps you can give them a call and ask them to provide you with the names and numbers of some of the past participants; give them a call and get an idea of what to expect.
