Default Police Raid in Mt. Lebanon

Anyone know what's up?

Mt. Lebanon police won't release the names of the agencies involved in the raid, but said they were notified in advance that the raid would happen.

The article reads like it was a raid of suspected terrorist house. They went in with heavy artilary and detonated a flash granade with a child in the house. The residents are from Jordan but seem to have lived here for a very long time.

I really think we have a right to know more about this. I will be very disappointed in our government if these people were innocent and this raid was due to profiling.

Here's an article: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09107/963584-100.stm

Disregard. It was just a drug raid:

I'm sure SWAT will be used all the time now after the Poplawski and Korbes events.

Well, *I* certainly wouldn't live there.

Probably because I can't afford it!

Seriously -- our house values have slam dunked so badly out here that even after living her for 22 years and NOT treating my house like an ATM, we're approaching "underwater" status....

Sorry to hear that. Mt.Lebo, despite what you read or hear, is NOT all that unaffordable.

Not even close to unaffordable... Factually, Mt Lebo is middle class, nothing more, nothing less.

That depends where in Mt. Lebo you go. The closer to Dormont is more affordable while furthur out gets pricey. I wouldn't worry about the police raid. Things like that happen in the most upscale areas. It is an isolated incident and besides the neighbors don't put up criminal activity. Their diligence probably had the police clean out the dirtbags.

Not necessarily. My good friend lives near the hospital, market value of his ranch is 120K.
