There are some very run down high crime areas of Beaver County, and there are some nice areas as well. Unfortunately some of the towns relied solely on the mills and have never recovered. I would definitely recommend visiting any area or home before committing to anything. As other have said Aliquippa is pretty run down. Downtown Midland is another place that leaves a lot to be desired. Ohioville has nice rural feel and the homes are not on top of each other. Monaca is not bed either, but is more suburban.
