Apartment suggestions for newbee (Pittsburgh, Pleasant Hills: apartments, rent, condo)

I am currently considering a job in Pittsburgh that will be located around the Pleasant Hills area and need suggestions on reasonable one bedroom apartments within a 30-40 min commute. I would like to live in the city or as close as possible with rent being under $800, any thoughts? Not exactly sure how much utilites run in the area and if some apartments include utilities.

I don't know the area around Pleasant Hills very well, but you could take a look at apartments around Waterfront. The area is close to the city, but would still be a reasonable commute for work. I know there is a small apartment/ condo development there. Not sure if it would be within your budget.
As for utilities, the best thing would be if you could get head included in your rent since that's just astronomical in the winter, especially if you're in an older home.
