Anybody familiar with penfield place or penfield court off of penn ave in point breeze. It look like nice little row houses, but I dont know anything about it except it looks impossible to get parking spaces. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The parking doesn't look any different than it does on any city street with houses that don't have driveways.

I've never been exactly on that street, but it literally backs up to the East End Food Coop which is a great food store. What would you like to know about that area?
It seems pretty safe - but Penn Ave has a lot of traffic and I don't know how comfortable I'd be walking around at night (I generally don't walk anywhere alone at night though). Point Breeze is my absolute favorite neighborhood (there are bunch of posts about that neighborhood).

That's a nice area; I used to live nearby and I really liked it. But the parking on Penfield Court does seem kind of weird. I had a friend who lived there and when I was picking him up I always wondered what would happen if someone drove in while we were trying to drive out, because when cars are parked on both sides there's really only room for 1 car in the middle. It never happened though, so I never found out. I guess one car would have to back into one of the branches of the T and let the other one go.

Oh and i never felt scared walking around that area at night, and having the co-op and Construction Junction nearby is really handy.

I have a small rowhouse on Penfield Place. It's a nice block/cul de sac with friendly, laid-back neighbors. I haven't had parking problems, although the spots do get filled up after people get home from work. But I haven't stayed there in the winter so I don't know what parking is like in the snow. Any specific questions I might be able to help you with?
