You want Center Township, Beaver County. It will most likely have an Aliquippa address. I'm not sure if Monaca has addresses with them too. They are right next to each other.
One thing you might want to consider is staying on the same side of the river with Leetsdale. If they close a bridge for repairs, your commute time gets a whole lot longer. Your 3 choices for bridges right now are Sewickley, Ambridge, and Monaca.
I have never heard of Chester, Ohio. Could it possibly be Chester West Virginia? It's in the panhandle across the river from Eastliverpool, Ohio. Weirton is also close by. If you don't have a family connection drawing you to those areas, there are better choices that are much closer.
My drive from Salem, Ohio to the airport is 60 miles. It takes an hour, but this is where I grew up. Chippewa is my halfway point. My house in New Sewickley township was 16 miles from the airport, but it took 35 minutes to get there. There were a lot of lights, and 35mph zones along the way.
New Sewickley is a farm community in Beaver County. They go to Freedom schools. They are good safe schools, but I wasn't impressed with the education.

You do realize that these people on here are mostly real estate people trying to make a buck by pulling you into this overcrowded area...
When they started pushing the section 8s out of Pittsburgh they moved a lot of them to the Beaver Valley.... There are nice places out there though, you just have to be careful. By all means do not listen to real estate people, there lower on the scum scale then atterneys....

All of the real estate agents on here please stand up and be noticed.......... I would be interested in knowing who they are.
I'm an aircraft mechanic that has no ties with any real estate sharks.
Anybody? Anybody?

I'm not a real estate person, but I am an attorney, so apparently that is not much better.

Attorneys are sort of like members of Congress: people dislike them in general, but tend to like their own.

Okay, we've made the decision for my husband to accept the offer and we'll be moving out likely at the beginning of July. So a few more questions....
If I can't trust where the realtors direct me, where do I go for help looking for properties or determining in what location to live? Are there websites with forums about Pittsburgh neighborhoods and schools or someplace else to get input?
Next, we won't have bought a house by the time we move, so we will need an intermediate place to live. From our experience renting around here, landlords want a year lease. Are there any secrets to finding a nice temporary rental, or is that just going to be out of the question? And I know different areas handle rentals differently as well. Is it more common to find a good rental by word of mouth, by newspaper, craigslist, or some other avenue? What I'm hoping for is to find a rental in one of our hopeful school choices so we might avoid switching schools after purchasing our home. It's our first home purchase, so this is all new and we don't know what time frames we're looking at to close.
And last, what options are there for my husband to live in for the month or so before we choose an apartment? Just hotels? And if so, anything not too pricey recommended for the area around Leetsdale? He'll probably have to be out there in 2-3 weeks, and I won't be able to come out with the kids until we find an apartment.
Once again, thanks and keep the housing info coming. I'm watching this forum carefully to get every possible bit of advice I can.

Thanks for the bridge advice and answer about the schools. We don't have family in OH or WV, but I checked out some houses online and saw their property taxes were SOOOO much less that I thought we might want to consider it. It was Chester, WV, I was just posting sooo late last night. Anyway, from other boards, it looks like those towns are more frowned upon, but there were people wrote some really nice things about some. I checked the schools out on Great Schools, and some looked okay and others not so okay. Just wondered if the travel time would really be an hour to Leetsdale, and what locals thought about the towns just over the border.....oh, and if anyone knows if those states "catch up" on low property taxes by significantly higher other taxes. But if it's an hour, it doesn't matter...we'd lose out on gas money and time.
