Default Counties Around Allegheny, which one to live in, why?

Hi all,
Been considering a relo to Pittsburgh area for career reasons. But the city thing isn't me. Prefer 'burbs, with good schools, good shopping or even rural.

Of the counties around Allegheny, which do you think is best choice, why?

Commute target is roughly the airport.

Also, I hear Allegheny taxes are higher? Any idea how bad the difference is?

Beaver and Washington counties would be your best bets as they are fairly close to the airport.
