Fun young neighborhoods?
I am a late 20s single woman from PA with no kids who is very interested in moving to Pittsburgh--if I can ever get a job there!
But a few months ago I was at a random party in a Pittsburgh neighborhood, and it had a really fun bohemian feel. Loud music wasn't a problem (it was a weekend), and random oddball neighbors kept popping in. It wasn't a college area but had a feel of youth and freedom and definitely was not a "quiet neighborhood" or "family friendly" area, but it also felt safe like it was not a bad or dangerous neighborhood. I'm not sure what the area was called but wanted to see if there were other similar feeling neighborhoods close to the city? I just need ideas on where to search for when looking at housing.
Thanks!

Look at:
South Side Flats
Lawrenceville (Butler Street)
Shadyside (East of Aiken)
Bloomfield (Liberty Ave)
The Strip (Below 28th)
Maybe
Mt. Washington
Oakland

ajl777 - Let's not be a completely obvious TROLL! but atleast be somewhat Objective, rather then totally submerged in you own Bias of Hate.

"Shadyside (East of Aiken) hey i'm in grad school stopover until i'm in nyc, dc or boston"
That's hilarious because it's soooo true.
S. Oakland = hey, i am a not from Pittsbugh and thus I didn't know how dangerous and dirty this side of town can be.
Pittsburgh doesn't really have a thriving young singles scene, IMHO. Or at least not the kind you'd find in a bigger city. For the most part, people come here, get their degree and move on.
