Default Moving to Cranberry Twp Area---need advice

I am relocating to the Cranberry Twp area for work, and I have no idea where I should look for an apartment, as I am entirely unfamiliar with the area. I would like to get out of Cranberry Twp itself, as rent there is pretty pricey, but I don't want to drive more than a half an hour to work. What are some good areas near Cranberry that are safe and quiet and not super expensive? Any input would be much appreciated. Thank you!

My company's regional headquarters is in Cranberry and had to go there for a meeting yesterday. I'm also applying for a few positions there.

When I was driving there yesterday, I drove past the Wexford exit and saw all the traffic cramming on to I-79 to head toward the city. We live on the east side of the city and it took me around 35 minutes to get out there, not to far from your desired commute time. There's no way I would deal with all those suburbanites jamming the interstates to get in to the city every day.

Is work in C-berry or downtown? Drive times will get up there in the 30-60 minutes range if work is downtown.

Oh OK then thats not bad.

All of Cranberry is extremely safe (and boring), but thats all I really know. Safety isnt a concern in Cranberry. Wexford might be cheaper? (and just as safe)

There are a ton of places close to Cranberry to live. Evans City, Adams Twp, Jackson Twp, Mars, 7 Fields, even Zelienople would be a close commute.

So I've been trying to find info about rentals in all of these areas, and all I can find online is in big apartment complexes. Is there a way to find smaller rentals in these areas? (sorry, that's kind of vague...how can I find rentals that are not in large apartment complexes in these areas)

You can try Craigslist and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's classifieds -- www.postgazette.com & www.pittsburgh.craigslist.org
