I'm sure some/many/most of you heard about the crash on Washington Blvd on Wednesday. A tractor trailer driver apparently went in to cardiac arrest (and was later pronounced dead at the scene). There was an eight car chain reaction and my wife's car was the car that initially was hit.

I believe Benzman is involved with the city fire or ambulance division, but if there are any other firefighters or police officers that were at the scene, I just want to thank you all for what you do and did. Amazingly, my wife walked away with just a broken hand and some bruising.

Glad to hear your wife came out of such a bad accident with relatively minor injuries. Hopefully she heals up quick. Prayers go out to the truck driver and his family.

Thanks Scott! Any of us in the police/fire/EMS services appreciate the kind words!

I personally was not there, but glad to hear no serious injuries happened to the wife being she took the first impact.

I have a friend who now swears by VW after he was in a terrible crash and his family walked away with no major injuries.

Those pictures tell the story. The rear end absorbed a tractor trailer hit. Incredible.

Holy cow...

I'm glad she's doing fine -- I'm sure she's sore as heck right now....

Scott, you might want to change the pic or blur out your plate number, if possible.... too many crazies out there...
