Default Old Buildings on Forbes in Oakland?

Does anyone know anything about the old buildings on Forbes in Oakland, between Atwood and Meyran? On one side of the street, the whole block is made up of about four of these 5-6 story brick buildings. On street level the house businesses such as as Starbucks, Radio Shack, and Quaker Steak. What are the upper levels? Apartments? Offices?

I think you might be talking about the Iroquois Building, which was originally apartments, and now houses offices for UPMC:

University of Pittsburgh

yup, that's it. Bummer ... I was kind of hoping they were apartments, haha. I'd love to live there ... looks like it has lots of character.

I gather those were very nice apartments back in the day, so you have good taste.
