Default Hampton or USC?

If you had a choice to move to Hampton or to Upper Saint Clair, which town would you choose (and why)?

Hampton, not that there's anything wrong with USC, I think think a commute in the North Hills isn't as bad as a commute from the South Hills.

I'd take Hampton, more spread out. I've lived in Lebo and now in McCandless, I prefer the North these days, but both are good areas with good schools.

Hampton. The houses are farther apart. It's not as developed so there's more wooded areas. Parts of North Park and Hartwood Acres are in Hampton. It's an easy commute to Downtown and Oakland. It's easier to get to the Zoo too. Traffic in the North Hills isn't as congested as the South Hills. Both school districts are comparable, but Hampton is a smaller school district. Smaller is better when it comes to high schools IMO. Even though Hampton High school is smaller, it still has all of the activities the larger districts have.

I agree that Hampton is better simply for the commute. If you won't be working downtown and the commute doesn't matter, then I would compare USC with Peters Twp. I think you can get more house for your money in Peters Twp, lower taxes than Allegheny Co, and the schools are excellent. If the commute is a big issue for you, then compare Hampton with Cranberry and Adams Twp in Butler Co. Again, good schools, cheaper taxes in Butler and the commute is breeze.
