Yep, still a huge buzz. We were able to get 8:00 Saturday reservations a couple months ago, but we called two weeks in advance. Hope you like it. If you go to Round Corner Cantina, head for the huge outdoor area in the back. Very nice. It was also packed when we went on a Saturday night.

To be honest, most of the "must go to" restaurants are not Downtown, but in the many neighborhoods. Nine on Nine, Mexico City, Eleven, Tamari, and Piccolo Forno are all excellent.
I love Piccolo Forno and Mexico City (which has two locations downtown, one on Wood Street, one on Smithfield), and if you're going to Tamari, be sure to stop at Dozen Bake Shop for dessert if it's not too late.

Will do! Any advice on parking? I'm not familiar with which blocks are ok and which I should stay away from.

Had a great time at both spots. I would have liked to stay at the Cantina a little longer but it was pretty chilly. Tamari was excellent and the bill was reasonable considering we had the sushi sashimi platter, tuna tartare, duck quesadilla, and Tamari maki, and 4 drinks. I was able to grab a parking spot in their gravel lot.

Am I allowed to provide a link to Pittsburgh Magazine's top 25 restaurants for 2010?
