be nice if they had better bands then the OUT LAWS a southern rock band. how about some bigger names to draw more people. make more money

The problem with the bigger bands is they ask for a lot of money. They got Soul Asylum a few years back on the 4th of July weekend and they were very good.

Of course the shows are free so I guess it wouldn't be a waste of money to see them.

But I do think they need to get a better variety. Most of the time it is southern rock and country. I'd go if it were 38 Special I guess. They need more alternative, indie, blues, new wave and 80's hair bands.

I would think they can't do "bigger names" and still keep it free for everyone....

The Clarks come every year, and they draw a huge crowd. But the gig is not on the Clarks schedule as of yesterday.

It is interesting how the Clarks do so well in Pittsburgh. They just never went all the way to the big time. I talked to Scott Blasey about it and he seemed cool with being more of a local band. Sure they have some hits that moved around the country a bit, but just never quite went really big. Scott sure is one nice person to talk with and he sure loves Pittsburgh.

If anyone does go, I highly recommend Pigfoot BBQ. They were at South Park last year and were hands down the best vendor there. You can buy their dry rub and sauces along with your ribs at their stand.
