Bull, look at Pete Rose and the black sox scandal, all white. There are many more, to numerous to list.

Mark my word, no one and I mean no one will pick up Vick with the publicity it would bring. Besides, he really isn't that good IMO.

I don't even understand how you can even make that comparison between a lawyer/doctor and professional athlete. A professional athlete's job is to entertain, not defend people in a court of law or operate and prescribe medication, which can affect people's lives.

A professional athlete is not allowed to be involved in gambling for very good reason.

He's tarnished goods now. He's not irreplaceable. Someone else is always willing to step into the lime light.

The game didn't force him into immorality. The player is the problem, not the game.
It's time these athletes learn that they're not going to make big money if they don't meet minimum moral expecations.

Come on now, stop using facts, logic, and common sense to back up your claims. If race wasn't a factor, who would some people blame for all of her failures in life? Clearly, it's always the fault of "whitey." Let's ignore the fact that the Jerome Bettis sexual assault case received almost no attention and went away quickly. Let's forget that Dante Stallworth killed a man while drunk and got a slap on the wrist. These things don't conform to the views of race baitors, so they must be ignored.

I would certainly boycott the Steelers and their merchandise if they employed a player who has been jailed for sadistically abusing animals.

Sure put him on the field alone and let the other team (pitbulls) loose. Ahhh, make it fun throw out a couple dobermans and Sharpton.

Bingo. I don't think Vick, or any pro-player convicted felon (or whatever degree offense it was), should be re-admitted in the first place. I think you're spot on as to why they're re-admitting him: money. So yeah, I'll hate on Vick for abusing animals and betting on it...and I'll hate on the system for letting him return to the NFL.

I am an unabashed animal lover. Michael Vick didn't serve nearly enough time and he shouldn't be allowed back into football at all. I, for one, will boycott the products of the advertisers that buy air time on the games of whatever team he lands on, should he land on, and I will write letters telling them of WHY I am boycotting their products.
