Maybe the reactions on this thread are just an indication that a decent amount of Pittsburgh's progressive thinkers are "over" Moore.

Laughable really, Limbaugh and O'reilly have never said a true statement in their lives, or used a single fact to back up any of their outlandish opinions.
You don't have to like Moore to appreciate what it is he is doing. He may come across as extreme in his movies but that's kind of the point, he caters to a specific part of the political spectrum.
Sicko said what everyone else either new already or stubbornly didn't want to believe about health care in the U.S. And guess what? We are trying to reform the system now because people have united across the country against the current system. You don't think that the movie might have something to do with that?
Now his newest movie is going to confront a very real issue in government right now, one that is currently becoming more known due to its obvious hampering of the democratic process in the current health care debate. That issue happens to be that the large corporations in this country are starting to have much more influence than they should in determining what is best for the people in this country. The timing couldn't be any better for this film, really.
If you are against him that is fine, but who else is questioning the government in a highly publicized forum and practicing real investigative journalism right now? The answer is no one.
Oh and I highly doubt that your friends are very "progressive".
