Yep. And I asked WILWRadio a few posts above, "Just a little biased, aren't you?" There are some questions that don't really require one to answer...

Somewhere I saw someone reference Dark Helmet from Spaceballs, which I favor as a comparison.

But specifically with respect to the stairwell case, I'm still not sure what you think is not accidental. I mean, is your theory the two riot police at the top of steps deliberately held them up for a bit in order to make sure they were exposed to gas, then let them go when asked politely? I suppose that is possible, but it seems to me the more likely explanation is that they just weren't aware until they were told that they had trapped the students in the stairwell by not letting them come up.
i think it was accidental, but it was gross incompetence. and if they'd just chilled and listened to the students, they could have avoided the situation. the students were telling them that they couldn't get out before they were gassed.

i do think the comparison to nazi germany is over the top, though.

oh and there's been a picture released showing what looks like the fatigue guys standing with the police and the protester they grabbed on the ground. so it looks like that video could be real after all. i posted it in the thread on the subject in the political board.

Did you see this link, posted shortly after your post of that picture?

Seems plausible:
