You guys have a football analogy for everything.

Navigation wasn't smooth, but once I lifted her pannus, things looked familiar.

LOL. I am sure he did. He kind of ruined the moment by complaining about the underwear before they came off. I am sure she got up and left. He immediately went flacid upon seeing the Black and Gold.
I better quit. This thread is getting off track.

i'm not even sure what your point is, really. yeah, the red sox have always been very popular nationwide, much like the yankees and the steelers. but so what? people who grew up in boston and elsewhere in new england love them too.
my point is, that the fan base is different. here yinz bleed black and gold. in boston, most fans are fairweather temporary trying to fit in

dude, you're clueless...yankees are hated outside of new york

steeler obsession ends in pittsburgh. outside of pitt, nobody thinks big ben is god, or even a decent quarterback.

I don't know about the forum itself, but this thread never was.

I don't think Big Ben is god either, in fact I think he's pretty arrogant and I'm sure many people in Pittsburgh would agree with me. Still, I'm a Steeler fan.

I'm using it facetiously. I thought you'd get that, but I understand it's complex.
