Again, my point above.
Exactly. There's a lot of stereotypes in Pittsburgh about ethnicity. But Pittsburghers seem to embrace their ethnicity more than be offended by it IMO

That was the meltingpot of the 19th century! I find it rather ironic that today it's not considered diverse if everyone is of European dissent. Back then, that was diverse. It was always a challenge when a new wave of immigrants came into the country. It seems that people like to disregard history.

Doesn't that mean that my Heinze 57 kid is diverse within his very self?

I wonder if it was the first and only major 'ethnic' riot then?

Back then they apparently considered ethnic groups to be races.

Exactly!
Is this what you're talking about having accidentily deleted?

I don't know, and I'm too lazy to research it any further. You can blame that on whichever part of my Irish, English, French, and German genes you feel is to blame.

Nope. Thanks for trying.

I accidently deleted that huge first reponse post where I teased people for being shocked by the title of my thread. You guys copied some of the post when you quoted part of it----like my sharing that I'm Irish and my husband is Italian was in the post I deleted accidently.

I sent Yac a PM. He'll reinstate it. The good thing about that is it will be in the right place in the thread too!

Hmmmmm......I'd say the French genes would be the most guilty of being lazy.
