WAMO again...
I may have missed somthing in another thread, but I'll ask anyway...
I know a religious company bought the channel. I know they went off the air a few weeks back. I know thta there is now dead air at 106.7. What I don't know is that is this religious company actually going to air religious programming? I would think that by now the format change would have happened. Are they going to just waste airspace?

I thought I had WAMO tuned in recently because I'm curious about what's going on. It was just talk, not religious, no music. I checked because of your post stating 106.7 - I was tuned in to their former station number: 105.9

Some within the PGH area may be picking up on 106.7 WJFK, a sports-talk station from Manassas, VA, a DC suburb. Your higher elevation makes it possible to pick up some stations up to 200-300 miles away on empty channels under specific weather conditions.... especially on foggy days.
When I visited northern WV last year I picked up (besides some SW PA signals) at least one from Columbus, OH (nearly 200 miles west of Clarksburg).
So you all will probably get an occasional distant signal until the new WAMO debuts.

Eddie Edwards, the Black Media Mogul and former owner of WPTT 22 is in the process of creating a new urban radio station. There was an article in the Pittsburgh Courier titled 'Radio Blackout'. He was upset that Pittsburgh is the only major metro area that does not have a 'BLACK' radio station.
He will have a press conference in the next few weeks. He will try to have some type of balance by playing all types of black music, not just the horrible teen music.......

Isn't it true that 107.1 used to be a simulcast of WAMO? Currently it's a Greensburg radio station.

Yes. Originally WAMO was on 105.9 (now the X.) The X was originally 106.7. The two switched signals giving WAMO the weaker signal. WAMO then took over 107.1 so it would cover the eastern communities (while the 106.7 signal would cover the western communities. WAMO then purchased a stronger signal for 106.7 it then dropped 107.1 (which is now SAM FM.)
Hope that's clear.
