Yeah, I'm guessing if they haven't re-opened for business by now -- sale pending or not -- then nothing's been done to the building. In which case it's probably a knock-down by now and the only value left is in the land.

Last year, there were talks of a group remodeling the building completely and making it an assisted living complex. They found out it would take approximately eight million to bring up everything to code. Last I heard now it is beyond repair and awaiting demolition when all the red paper is taken care of.

A good friend of mine was electrocuted in that building. Prior to his death I saw him at The Home Depot with his family. The next day he died in that hotel. I hate looking at that hotel from the Parkway East.

Not sure of what happened or why. Ill assime he was since he was in the construction/demolition type field. I hadn't spoke to hom
im in approximately 15 years prior to seeing hom just before his death.

What a shame I have good memories surrounding that hotel my grandparents used to stay, and we would have breakfast with them there. I also attended a wedding a reception there, a long time childhood friend.
