Default Crim just research help

Does anyone know where I can find the history of the DA's office. The website was a little helpful, but I would like more detailed information for my presentation.

For example..the stats on the convictions of murders, rapes, drug dealers, child molesters....

how many da's became judges or went to be defense attorneys....

where the office was originally located prior to the courthouse...

any info would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

Go to the library and ask the research librarian. It's probably all out there, but in several sources, and they'd be the ones to help you find it.

Stats are sometimes deceiving. For example, if someone is convicted of voluntary manslaughter and instead of murder. The DA's office would count it as a "conviction" and it really would be a win for the defense.

Not sure how you would find out how many Asst. D.A.'s are attorneys in private practice since there are so many D.A.'s. I think there is probably close to 100 there now and at least half leave with 3-5 years. I would focus on the judges because the number is smaller.
