Default Can I walk down Centre Ave. and Baum Blvd.?

I am moving to Pittsburgh in January and am looking for an apartment within walking distance of Baum Blvd. I've found a lot of options on Centre Ave. but it looks like a busy street. Can anyone tell me if it is busy and whether or not it has decent sidewalks and crosswalks? Thanks.

It is a busy street but there are walkable sidewalks. You still might be more happy with something on a quieter street. Lots of bus traffic and such - including emergency vehicles for the hospitals - on Center.

Don't forget google maps street view if you want to get a fairly clear picture of a specific area from afar.

Yep, it is somewhat busy, but definitely walkable in the physical sense with sidewalks, lights and crosswalks at major intersections, and often a screen of parked cars between the sidewalk and the traffic.
