Maybe. Just imagine when they get older and they're too young to walk to school but too old for a before and after school program.

You have to accept that your start time at your job might not be flexible. J

I'd hate to see you settle into a school district and have to uproot your children again in a few years.

If he works in Pittsburgh, we can recommend almost anywhere.

Let us know so we can point you in the right direction.

btw, $1,500 for rent is very doable for most housing. What size house do you need?
Sorry I didn't answer the last part of your question...

We have 2 kids so we would need 3 bdrm, and prefer 2 baths. My husband would also NEVER go for an apartment

We'll have to focus on the Southern suburbs of Allegheny County then.

I hear you. It's tough isn't it? Almost impossible to raise kids nowadays. Believe me, I could stay home with my kids forever if it were more possible today. I guess I'd have to cross that bridge when I come to it. My daughter just turned 12 and my son is 7. Luckily she is a well-behaved, very age appropriate little girl. My son on the other hand....

I haven't forgotten you. I need to hop off of the computer for a while.

Look at Bethel Park. It's a nice area and school district. House rentals are fairly reasonable there.

I also have an employment idea for you that is flexible for your current lifestyle. (I've been there, done that!) I'll PM you tomorrow.

Ah, it's a gift.

Don't overlook Mt. Lebo. While there is no busing, if you lived in Sunset Hills your daughter would be very close to the elementary school and your son not all that far from junior high. And Sunset Hills is very affordable.

I lived in that area for a couple of years, nice place.
