Perrott Ave Brighton Heights Pittsburgh, 15212 Just want some info. on if we buy and stay for 4-5 years can we turn around and sell for as much or more? And, is this area safe?

My sister and her husband owned 5 different houses in Brighton Heights over a period of 6 years. They made a small fortune fixing them up and selling them. They bought all of their houses for under 30k----only brick houses. The lowest one sold for 90k. The highest sold for 150k. They pretty much just repainted and recarpeted them---and did small repairs and maintenance. Only one needed a new kitchen---but they did it themselves for under 4k. All in all, they made about 500k within 6 years. Yes, it's definitely a safe neighborhood. I highly recommend only buying brick houses. And you'll only sell for much more money of you are buying a cheap house like my sister and her husband. If you plan on buying a house that is already priced around 100k, you're not going to get a huge profit in 4 to 5 years, but you'll definitely get your money back.
