I guess that's how they make the roads for ice road truckers. Glad to see you're getting some sleep again, ditchdigger!

I was glad that the snow was dry as opposed to wet. It was easier to shovel.

There is increasing excitement on the weather bulletin boards about the potential for something big this coming weekend...

According to the Weather Channel it looks like the heaviest swath of snow will miss us again, and pound the mid-atlantic, like last weekend. But maybe the track will be slightly north of the last one, we'll have to wait and see.

My prediction - no more than 1" to 2" in the Pittsburgh area.

Well, on the weather boards, they keep a constant eye on the models, and debate the interpretation of each successive model run. "It's a little more north this run. No, it's a little more east, but faster..."
In general, I've found that if you're in the bullseye four or five days out, you never end up in the bullseye on the day of the storm. The models started out a couple days ago, showing this one south of here, but later runs have shown it more north, but we're not in the bullseye just yet. That makes me wonder if it won't just be a big hit for us...

It's like 60-70 here in Arizona. I still miss Western Pennsylvania weather, though.

I hope it misses us. I don't want a foot of snow to come in and ruin the weekend.

Hmmm, according to this map at Accuweather.com, Pittsburgh is in the 6-12" range for this storm. But Accuweather is the ultimate hype machine, I'll believe it when I see it.
