Somewhere on the internets today (I can't remember where to give proper credit), someone referred to this storm as "Snowpocalypse" which I thought was a proper description for the media frenzy.

I believe that was the hilarious Virginia Montanez. Although I have to believe someone thought of that for her.

My wife and I have been laughing all day long. We were off together today and went in to Giant Eagle at Waterworks for some small things that were on sale. The amount of people that were there at noon was unbelievable. We stood in line forever and joked with people how I am from Erie and she is from Warren OH and how laughable it is seeing how people are reacting. Thanks for the entertainment!

Snowpocalypse was used back in December for the DC storm as well. Other ones going around are snowmageddon, snOMG, etc. Search for them on Twitter. Those three I mentioned are getting the most use.

I just want to say that if the road (Rt 19 in Wexford in this case) is getting messy, and we're in traffic, and I'm keeping a reasonable following distance given the conditions, not falling behind but leaving some space, and you bring your Benz (or other vehicle, but this happened to be a Benz) 2 inches from my rear bumper, then yes I am flipping you the bird because you had damn well better back off. Why is it that people don't understand that in the snow it's the swerving or the stopping that's going to get you into an accident?

Trust me, it wasn't me. I drive my wife's Benz with AWD and get around fine. But I never, ever ride any one's bumper, especially in weather like today. I had a guy crawling up my tailpipe on the way back from the airport. hell, don't they teach anyone how to drive anymore?

Big Boss Lady let us out of work early, and on the bus through Oakland around 4 I thought it wasn't so bad--roads were just wet with a little slush on the edges. By the time I got off the train in Beechview, there was 2 inches of snow on the ground. It was amazing how fast it came down.

Not me either Greg. I keep a nice perimeter around my Benzes, but I keep a nice police nightstick right under my seat in case someone plows me in the rear and has no insurance! I always have no problem doing a citizens arrest! LOL
