I'm enjoying it too, but, sure would like to see the sun in the next few days.

ok, maybe I am ranting. I got what I call the Yinzer crabs. I get them every February through March. They always pop up, get annoying, and after a while they go away again. I got a major infestation this year though.

Every place has its negatives. I love Pittsburgh, but I sure do hate it here from February till March.

They still have chairs out in Polish Hill, have seen them every day this week. But then again, there are still big piles of snow that haven't ever been removed there. There's no good plan for that though, nothing that makes people park only on one side of the street after snow or anything like that.

Still, 2 weeks after the snow, that's stretching it quite a bit for the chairs. These are the kind of people that are going to have the chairs out in the summer.

That chair would look nice tossed through their front window, laying on their couch in a pile of broken glass. Just sayin'.

But on a lot of streets, people are parked bumper to bumper on both sides of the street. Where would half of those cars go?

I know. I don't know the answer to that either. But there's zero chance of getting the snow out the way it is now.

If you read that link from the Trib posted a day or two ago there's some discussion in there about utilizing lots, etc, so they can have a plan to clear the street parking. It was interesting to read in that piece that they really did have the new computerized plan discussed after the 2008 problems, but it broke down because of so many diversions to get stuck police and ambulance vehicles, etc. Those guys need to be able to fend for themselves.

Also there was finally an attempt to put some more blame back on Guy Costa, now for apparently settling for too many 2-wheel-drive trucks. (Not that more 4-wheel-drives wouldn't necessarily help, but this is far from the biggest breakdown in the system for this storm.)

Hm, that link is not in this thread. Where was it? I'll see if I can find....
