Hooray! Count me in as another Pittsburgher who loves a REAL snow fall Enjoy it now before it's just a filthy, slushy memory.

Walk to the store. It's not cold outside. There's no wind.

That's about what we have in Hampton too.

Exactly! Cranberry can wait for another day. We're going sled riding when the kids wake up!

I drove. It was bad on the way, downhill, but not bad on the way back. I should have just walked to the convenience store, 2 blocks away, in retrospect.

Well, the little man did in fact cooperate once he saw the snow. It was fantastic for playing--plenty of snow, not too cold, but cold enough to keep things relatively dry (although our snow man effort failed--still, he became a pile of snowball fight ammunition). And the snow keeps drifting down softly, so it is keeping the winter wonderland effect going.

That said--I'm looking at the couple inches piled along the top of the tree branches, and thinking I am very glad we stayed on top of the tree trimming this year.

Too late now, sorry, I didn't keep reading for new posts earlier. Oops. Light snow and a couple inches total. Could be 3" out there now (noon). They keep our road out front nice and clear most of the time, but it's not always a good judge of anything (state road, but cleared in winter by Boro of Economy under arrangement which I believe gets us cleared faster). Middle of Cranberry on Freedom at Rt 19 can be slushy even while other roads are pretty clear. Often our roads are good and going over through New Sewickley Twp then into Cranberry the roads are not as good.

I don't think it'll deter too many people on the last weekend before Christmas, but then, the road by here has been reasonably quiet. I dunno. You're not supposed to need anything in Cranberry, so stay home. Been a few accidents around the wide Pittsburgh area, according to reports, but it really doesn't sound like it's "absolutely positively don't go out" bad or anything close to that.

I have you all beat. Try driving a fire engine in this weather on the way to an emergency, with idiotic drivers out in full force, the Saturday before Christmas.

AND............here I sit waiting for the "first flake" in NEPA..........Geez.
They had us all excited for nothing about now. Its 12:30 and not a flake in the air.........
Glad to listen to all of this banter because I am the one who usually falls ( me and another city data friend..lol)
So I am thinking when it does get here, which was suppose to be last night or this AM.........It will be icey.
It just looks like the entire thing will miss us, and here we all sit so prepared.
Lots of Milk, bread, salt and sand...........and nothing going on.
