There's a good 5-6 inches at my house. While I'd love all the snow they're getting on the east coast, I think I'm happy with this considering they said only 2-4 inches.

Winter Weather Advisory goes to 6am, but it should start tapering off anytime now. It's barely snowing up here at the moment. Don't have a true measure, but I'm going to guess about 4 inches.

We ended up going out around 2:30 or 3:00, no problems at all on major roads. Worst road was in fact Freedom Rd on this side (west side) of Cranberry. And that is typical. Cranberry itself was not bad, though, which is atypical. We actually went down to West View via the Parkway North, then came back up through Wexford via Perrysville/Perry Highway. Did not seem to be deterring too many shoppers in the few places we saw. Plenty of cars out when we got to Cranberry; looked like any other Saturday afternoon I'd say.

So, would anybody care to wager that the Christmas morning rain event will be a carbon copy of the Dec. 13th freezing rain event? It looks really similar to me...

I'd rather we stayed home on Christmas day anyway! We usually do too much running around visiting both sides of the family all in one day!

Winter has barely started and I'm already sick of shoveling the sidewalk. Somehow I missed the news that we were supposed to get two inches of slush overnight. And it's supposed to get really cold, so I can't just leave it to freeze. Humbug.

Two inches of slush! Funny! It is a super wet, heavy snow.

I'm leaving it there. Unless it rains, it will provide traction.

The slush was mixed with open water on our sidewalks, so I had no choice about "shoveling" (although it was more like a squeegee action).

I didn't touch my walkways. It all melted and the sidewalks dried up on their own. You shoveled for no reason.
