They are not going to hand opportunities to you on a plate. AIP will give you the skills and resources but you'll have to get out there and do the legwork yourself. If you end up going there, get involved in as many organizations, shows, etc that you can...and try to befriend as many industry people as possible. If you do this and you have skills, you will be fine.

Intern with a GREAT photographer...Cost $0 you may even make money learning...ONE on ONE training and guess what you will be making connections building your folio, learning and making a profit. NONE OF THIS A SCHOOL CAN OFFER...

Thanks for the advice everyone! I really really appreciate it! I've decided that I'm just going to have to learn on my own and take some classes here and there. I don't care to get a degree in photography (I guess I should have mentioned that in my original post) since I already have a stable and enjoyable career. I just wanted to learn basic photography. No need for me to make a living from it. Thanks so much again!
